Podcast Episode 436: ¡Revolución!

AND I KILLED MARKO STUNT TOO

Hello and welcome to Monday Night Hurt Business! And brother, business is a-booming!

First of all, congrats to Bob Lashley and really the entire Hurt Business, they are holding all the gold, but for how long?

Moving on to AEW, the Revolution was televised, and everyone will remember the end. It sucks that people are going to really hang on the ‘botch’ because this was the first time a lot of American wrestling fans experienced an exploding barbed wire deathmatch. The bar was set in the middle. Let’s see another one.

This year’s Revolution PPV introduced a lot of new talent, personalities, and matches to the fans. We have an appreciation for that. With that established, we also hope to see more development and growth.

In conclusion, we really just want more Maki Itoh.

Podcast Episode 435: Like Grits and M&Ms

The WWE Elimination Chamber PPV is happening this weekend, and Raw and Smackdown have been handling the lead-up to this PPV very differently. Bottom line, Smackdown is doing better. Fight me. And then you have to fight Roman after you fight me.

NXT Takeover Vengeance Day was a must watch PPV. The Dusty Cup tournament for both MSK and the team of Dakota Kai & Raquel González was amazing. After watching Finn Bálor defeat Pete Dunne in the stellar main event, our hearts break as Adam Cole has set in motion the fall of the Undisputed Era. I indeed want my Vengeance.

Podcast Episode 405: Elimination Chamber Recap

What’s that? It’s been two weeks and we already have to recap another WWE Network Special?

Ahhhhh…we must be on the Road to Wrestlemania. A road that was once clean and beautiful where you could go 85 MPH from the Royal Rumble to the Grandaddy of them All is now cluttered with traffic and trash. But despite not having that “big match” we felt was missing, Elimination Chamber provided a nice spotlight for up and coming talent, as well as some enjoyable matches. We talk about the longer term programs for Mania that we like and don’t like as well as plenty of speculation on whether or not the coronavirus will cancel us all. Wash your hands and quit touching your face.

Podcast Episode 371: Elimination Chamber 2019 Results

Well, it’s been quite a week, hasn’t it?

Elimination Chamber happened. We saw a handful of new champions, followed by a handful of main roster debuts (dare we call them call-ups, or no?)… AEW’s presence continues to be felt months before their first official event…. And Kofi Kingston is grabbing ahold of that brass ring, daddeh!
