Podcast Episode 298: No Mercy 2017 Preview

Brock Lesnar and Braun Strowman are going to collide, one-on-one, in Los Angeles, this weekend. I’d make a joke about natural disasters, but it’s probably too soon for that sort of thing.

In addition, John Cena and Roman Reigns will be looking to settle their beef, as we all don our multi-colored CeNation gear. The Miz goes toe to toe with Kurt Angle’s son. And finally, the women are all fighting each other because that’s just what WWE does when they get lazy about writing proper storylines for them.

Meanwhile, on SmackDown… Jinder Mahal overstays his welcome, and well.. the women all fight each other there, too. Go figure.

Also, Josh tries to introduce a new game to the crew. Is it fun or terrible? Listen and decide for yourself!

Featuring: ‘The Beast from the Middle East’ Darrell Johnson (@zazzumplop), Joshua Schlag (@thesteelcage / @schlizzag) and ‘The Mayor of Reseda’ Derek (@cap_kaveman).

For most of the last 30+ years of my life, I've been watching WWE. As a kid, Monday Night Raw hooked me from the start. From Bret Hart and Razor Ramon, to Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, to CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.. I've witnessed the ups and downs and I'm proud to have enjoyed pro wrestling through the years.

Though I now watch in a much different fashion than I did when I was a kid (finding out Vince McMahon was the owner and Jack Tunney no more than a figurehead was like finding out Santa Claus did not exist), I feel like I have a much greater appreciation for the hard work pro wrestlers do and the things they sacrifice to entertain us.

It's still real to me, dammit!
