Podcast Episode 55.5: Royal Rumble Recap

Finally, the Road to WrestleMania is fully under way! CM Punk’s reign has ended, and The Rock has taken the lead as we see the picture start to come together (sort of). Really, there are a lot of questions still in the air – but that’s what makes it fun, right?

Join us as we run through some instant analysis of what happened at the Royal Rumble. We had a great time sitting ringside at our hometown arena here in Phoenix – we hope to bring just a little bit of that to you this week.

Disclaimer: We didn’t use our usual set up to record this episode, so the sound quality leaves some to be desired. It’s a fun conversation though, so I had to post it!

For most of the last 30+ years of my life, I've been watching WWE. As a kid, Monday Night Raw hooked me from the start. From Bret Hart and Razor Ramon, to Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock, to CM Punk and Daniel Bryan.. I've witnessed the ups and downs and I'm proud to have enjoyed pro wrestling through the years.

Though I now watch in a much different fashion than I did when I was a kid (finding out Vince McMahon was the owner and Jack Tunney no more than a figurehead was like finding out Santa Claus did not exist), I feel like I have a much greater appreciation for the hard work pro wrestlers do and the things they sacrifice to entertain us.

It's still real to me, dammit!
