After the Bell
by schlizzag on Aug.26, 2009, under Commentary, Events, Wrestlemania XXVI
Last night, we attended the live broadcast of ECW, followed up by tapings for Superstars and Smackdown.
As it was the first time I had been to a Smackdown taping (as opposed to a live show), it was interesting to see how they did things differently.
They were pretty consistent with shooting different angles and extended reactions before and after matches. They also weren’t afraid to redo a move if they screwed up during a match. Now I get what JR is saying when he talks about the different feel he gets in doing Smackdown play by play as compared to his days on Raw… It will be interesting to see how they handle the shots in the editing room and how the final product appears on Friday night.
After the final bell rang, they managed to keep our attention, even as the event dragged on past the four hour mark.
An appearance by The Undertaker sure didn’t hurt things, and DX was as entertaining as ever, even though it was for nobody’s entertainment but those of us in the arena at that time.
I must say, I am getting more and more excited for WM26 here in the Valley of the Sun!!!
Video from the WWE / Make A Wish Foundation / Cold Stone Creamery Ice Cream Social
by schlizzag on Aug.25, 2009, under Events, Wrestlemania XXVI
I went up to Scottsdale today around lunch time, to catch the WWE superstars as they are in town to tape ECW and Smackdown tonight. And I must say, they held the best ice cream social since the Holiday Village retirement community’s December 1996 fiasco. You know what I’m talking about.
Here’s Matt Hardy, thanking us for coming out and sharing in our excitement for Wrestlemania!

Wrestlemania XXVI to be held in Glendale, AZ
by schlizzag on Feb.25, 2009, under Wrestlemania XXVI

TSC’s base of operations will play host to next year’s “Grandest Stage of Them All”.
That’s right, Wrestlemania is coming to University of Phoenix Stadium, and I couldn’t be more excited. John Cena, Chris Jericho, Melina, Kofi Kingston, and Kelly Kelly were on hand with Cardinals head coach Ken Whisenhunt and Glendale Mayor Elaine Scruggs to make the big announcement.
Tickets are likely to be on sale sometime between September and November.
Live blogs and on location tweets will keep you plugged in to the events in a year’s time. Stay tuned to TSC, as we will do our best to cover this event as best we can!
